I know people usually hate batwings on a Dyna much less so on a FatBob but I was just looking around again and found this. I live in Minot North Dakota and put about 5k on my bike a year and at times I think it would be nice to have some extra misquote protection. Anyone have any experience with this goofy sounding company?
First time I seen that one. Looks pretty good. I like the width of it.
It looks good from the side. Going down the road it has a substantial side profile. It helps it looks proportionally good. The reckless is too thin at the side profile. Looks dorky in my book.
Check to see if they offer different size windshields. Or are they a standard Harley shield. Also wind deflectors. The ability to have these 2 options are huge for wind management.
Stereo looks interesting.
I've removed my reckless I had and went back to Memphis shades. Waaay better at wind management and looks IMO..
A lot of guys on here are running the tsukayu fairings and I think most are quite happy with the quality of them ... I agree it looks way better than the reckless one
What is nice about a fairing, is when you are running 70mph or faster, it takes the wind off of you.
Next you will need some crashbars and hard lowers.
I agree with the looks of the reckless fairing. Glade I saw it in person during Sturgis. I would've pissed if I would've ordered it. Funny you mention the lowers, much of my endeavors are at 70+. I've been researching how to put lowers on mine. Thought about a touring bike, even rented them but don't like the fit and feel. I feel much better on my FatBob with foward controls plus I really like the way my bike handles over the touring bikes.
The FatBob has to be the best riding, and best Handling Dyna I have ever ridden.
And if I had a 2nd bike it would be a fatbob.
The touring bikes may not take off as fast as the dynas. But when you get on the hiway and like the Speedlimit where I live is 75mph. So we run 80 to 85 mph.
Without a fairing the wind blows on you pretty good. Got to have good arms and neck muscles.
With the fairing the wind is taken off of you and lets you relax a lot.
When its cold outside or rains. The hard lowers would be great.
They mount as you know on the crash bars.
Never tried to mount any on them. It was a thought.
I ride a 11 FLHTK. I can cruise at 90 mph and just sit there and relax.
Had a Ducati try to ride with me. The wind was hard on him. he didn't last long.
The bike you choose will dictate your riding style.
May be later than sooner. But soomer or later. You will wind up on a touring bike.,
Harley sells more of them than anything else.
Some people start with Sportys. Some start on dynas. Others on softails.
Your height and all may determine what kind of bike you ride.
But its hard to beat a Touring bike on the hiway.
I have been riding since 1964.
Owned and rode a lot of different motorcycles.
I can remember the day when I said how could anybody ride a touring bike with a full fairing.
I have one on my street bob/bagger...honestly...the fairing itself is great...but order the one without the stereo. The one they give you is garbage, as are the speakers. It's also cheaper(if i remember correctly), i got a kenwood marine and some polks and now i'm waaaay happier with the fairing. I just wish i knew that before spending the cash on the fairing with stereo

I was thinking the same thing about the stereo and find my own stereo/speakers for it as well. Good to hear that people seem to be happy with their products. I'm going to call around and see if I can find someone local that can paint it to match my bike instead of ordering a color match from them.
