Does anyone run a gloss black on a black denim bike im buying my hd 1/4 faring soon and idk what to do. i dont really want to paint a faring because i cant paint and dont wanna spend tons of money on paint. so idk if anyone has pictures that would be great or at least some advice
Black Plasti-Dip will look pretty close and if you screw it up or don't like it - peel it off and try again.
This is what I did. Got the primed version of the 1/4 (which is also cheaper) and then hit it with plati dip (5-6 coats) and it is VERY close to the black denim.
Or if you are comfortable, just buy the black denim rattle can from HD and use that on it.
I scuffed up my Memphis Shades Gauntlet then hit it with the John Deere Blitz Black (the older original run of cans, the newer ones are too glossy). My front fender is aftermarket too so its painted with the same. Pretty much an exact match for denim. I've since picked up a can of the Harley Denim black but have not yet tried it...
