Default Low rider or street bob

Been riding a wide glide for 2 years now but never bonded with the bike. Considering getting a new dyna. Just at the internet stage if research. Test ride comes next. Are there any new owners who chose a street bob over a low rider...or the reverse? What are the major differences?

I chose the street bob due to looks more than anything else. Truth be told had I spent any real time on the low rider I probably would have gone for it. I like the dual brakes and 2:1 pipe even though it would have been replaced. I also liked that that the fit on the low rider seemed more versatile. But I just liked something a bit more intangible about the street bob and wacky as it sounds the battery box with the low rider name drove me batty

It's like anything I suppose, each to their own. They both drive beautifully and ultimately you're probably going to customize for what fits you best!

Ok. So the brakes are better on the low rider. From the harley website all I could tell was that the differences were cosmetic only. Do they handle any different?

I'd go wih the LowRider, with the dual brakes and adjustability you can change fewer items and still keep it comfortable as your progressing. It has a wee bit more rake and trail to make it a little more stable, it can also lean a bit more.

I found the ride qualities pretty similar, not sure that I found one more stable than the other. I guess I did find the Bob a little more vibrant which could be the diff in rake. I think the cool thing with the low were the adjustable bars. But like I said earlier I liked the starting look of the Bob more. And I still love it!

I think you'll know what's best for you after test riding side by side

When I was looking; the two choices were a toss up. Ended up with LR. But both are great...

It is a personal decision. I test drove both the LR and the SB and ended up buying the Bob. The only thing I didn't find comfortable on the SB was the mid controls but I have forwards installed and the bike is perfect for me. Have fun and good luck.

Just bought my Dyna like 1.5 months ago. I went SB above Lowrider strictly off looks, I didn't even consider the Lowrider myself. I don't care for the Lowriders paint scheme and I'm far far from a mag wheel fan. So the Sb was a no brainer for me.

Basically the decision between those two is 95% looks, being the only real mechanical advantage of one over the other is the dual front disc on the Lowrider.

The low rider. It has dual discs. What more can you ask from Harley. It has more adjustability and includes a tachometer which to me is a plus. This is the best take on what a cruiser should be
