Upgraded my perfect stock dual disk brakes to 2013 FLHX rotors and cailpers. Cailpers bolted right up no problem. The rotors bolt up to my stock wheel just fine but once i installed onthe bike i could no rotate the wheel because the the bolts were hitting the inside of the fork legs. the stock FLHX or newer bagger rotors are not recesed bolt hole, so i took them to a shop to have the holes recesed to the depth of the stock 2000 dyna rotors. turned out great once i got them back. the only issue i have is the brake lines, i had to twist the lines at the cailpers to get the banjo bolt to hit the stop.I did the conversion in the summer of 2013 just never posted it. it stops the same as stock fxdx just looks better to me.
Looks good. I'm about to put a 6 piston caliper from a 2002 GSXR1000 on my 2008 Street Bob. Just got done getting a 23" front wheel laced up and want a little extra stopping power.
I went with the bagger calipers, but stock rotors for now.
I bought bagger rotors, but before I get the mount holes machined, I think I'm going to opt for some aftermarket rotors.
I was thinking about doing 6 pistons on both sides but thought that would be over kill.
I've never herd of somebody who complains about their vehicle stopping too well...
Although yes it probably more braking power than needed and not worth the cost vs some other options, it wouldn't hurt anything. just better stopping power and a different level of feel and likely less lever input needed. So you'd rather just have to train yourself to keep from grabbing a handful and locking up the front tire.

Snipped some bits.
Do the Brembos not pull you up any better than the earlier stock brakes?
Are the Brembo any lighter?
They do look the business and your Sport looks stunning.

They have about the same stopping power but by design, I believe they dissipate heat better, which in turn yields a little better braking. It is a minor gain, but a gain none the less.

I have. On sport bikes, lots of people land on their heads from emergency braking situations, where the bike gets tossed over the front wheel and lands on the rider. Kinda ugly.
Someone running the old SE 2-1 exhaust. Nice, such a great pipe. Brakes look good too. For just a few sheckles more you can do the XR1200 calipers that are 6 piston and look a lot cooler.
