I asked the same thing a while back. Check the link below for the responses I got. I ended up putting one on my WG the other night. It looks great and I went ahead and ordered the LED turn signals to go with it.

I bought the laydown LED tail lamp a year or so ago, a direct plug in to the stock wiring on the base. It is much brighter than the stock bulb and looks better. No problems, no complaints.

i ordereda kuryakynred laydown panacea multifuntion led taillightfrom phat performance a couple days ago. should be here monday. going to kill the rear signals... im super excited about that.
