Default True-Track installed

I finally got my True-Track installed. And of course I have a question. The motor barely moves in the frame like it use to. But since we had a snow storm this morning I haven't taken it for a spin. I can't remember if my bike did this before but when I revved it up to about 3000 RPM it shakes like hell through the seat and bars. Can the guys that get to ride year round tell me if that's the way it should be, I'm just worried it won't be as smooth at highway speed as it was before. Thanks in advance.

Two of my buddies have true tracks. Neither have the problem you described.

I do not remember any increased vibration but I have heard from others that they noticed a bit more. Been a long time since I installed it, just kinda remember that you needed the bike level and to attached the bolts with no tension on the stabilizing bar, then lock nut it down.

I had something similar after installing my true track. Did the "vibration adjustment procedure" as outlined in the service manual, vibes went away. Nice and smooth off idle.

I think your right, I would have tried to ride it today but were getting more ice and snow. Like I said if I rev it to about 3,000 it really shakes and I can't remember if that is normal or not. I wish I could get it out for a ride, hopefully this weekend.

Isolaters are included in our engine mounts and are there to isolate the motor from the chassis. We have "A" motors, or un-balanced motors, in our bikes. To deal with the inherent shaking of these big V-twins, the MoCo added rubber isolators to quell the vibration. The Tru-Track, by its very nature, works to eliminate the rubber isolators. It is these isolators that can cause our rear wheel to come out of alignment with the front when loading the chassis through a turn, thus causing the bike to "wobble". The best way to overcome this problem is to defeat the isolators with use of a TT, Sputhe, or AA unit. As you can imagine, there will be a noticeable increase in felt vibration throughout the bike after installation. It should, however, go away by 3000RPM. If what you are feeling is excessive, I cannot say.
