Please giive me any info you have. Finding info on line is difficult.
Thanks

I think the dyna is a softer, and more confident ride. Ive owned them all at this point, and still own a softail as well as my street Bob, it's my project bike. The softail is the name for the rear end, nothing else, to me it's a stiffer ride, and if you're taller, softails can be a bit cramped. They ride different though, more like you're sitting in the bike instead of on top.
They're infinitely adjustable, softail or dyna, I personally believe the dyna is the better ride, and more adjustable for both rider and passenger.
A lot of guys like the cleaner, more chopper/bobber look of the softails, then find out they ride like garbage.
Softails are like blondes, they look real nice but ride like crap. I fell in love with a fat boy lo once and dumped that bitch 10 months later. My fxdf is the best ride I have had on a motorcycle, ever.
If you want a well suspended bike, there is no comparison! Dyna will allow way more fine tuning.
Look at it like this... If you want cornering, and sporty performance, a tuned Dyna is similar to a sports car. A Softail, would be more akin to a Cadillac, or a Town Car. Maybe a minivan...
They are not however simply divided by suspension characteristics. They are completely different bikes, with different frame geometries, different handling, and IIRC, they're even geared differently. Heck, different motors even!
If I were you, I'd go to your local dealership and act like I was on the fence about it and ride them both back to back.
