Well if you ride 400 miles in a stint I guarantee you'll have a good autotune!

Funny you should mention the idle RPM, I just started to lower mine. I kept it where they mapped it until higher temps and then started to bring it down but I don't think I have it below 900. I wasn't sure how much to lower with each temp increment so kept it pretty arbitrary.

It does sound good but think based upon recent reading and your experience that I may scale it back a bit in all temps.

Looking forward to hearing how Sunday's ride goes! You have me thinking that maybe I'll do an autotune on Monday just for fun since in riding with a fellow who always takes me on fun excursions.

I saw this too and spoke with V&H about it. He said that the "bug" was that some people got stuck in auto tune and couldn't get out. The values for the map were still calculated normally.

I just put a stage 1 on my 2014 FXDC (superglide custom) two weeks ago. I chose the FP3. So far I have got about 500 miles on the stage 1 (V&H slash 3" and the Arlen Ness Big Sucker). I changed to the quiet baffles about 350 miles ago, so I did a re-map.

All I can say is this is the easiest thing to use. Just follow the on-screen directions. It took maybe 5 minutes.

I have no decel poping, a noticeable improved performance and it idles at the same rpm as before the Stage 1 (about 950 to 1000). I haven't tried an autotune and there is a good chance I probably won't.

I wasn't sure what numbers to plug in for idle so I went with this (see pic below). Everything runs fine and I've had no issues thus far. Warm up idle rpm is the base map, I just changed the values for when the engine is at optimal temp.

Nice, mine is similar and I think I'll adjust as well. I had forgotten that warm up idle and regular idle would be different maps!

I added my FP3 once I added a new intake last year. There was noticeable improvement. I installed V&H Short Shots this winter and flashed the canned map to the bike. The map has been working well, but the app won't let me auto tune. Any advice?

What kind of error message are you getting? It should ask you to choose a map to autotune, if all your spaces are taken for some reason (I think there are 6), then it could be that there is no slot to save a map for which to be auto-tuned.

If you are not getting any kind of messaging what is happening?

I had one on my 2013 Deluxe and was very pleased. I had V&H straight shots. I tried the auto tune but was happier with the canned map. The bike ran great with no decel pop.

I get as far as selecting which map. I get the "initializing auto tune" wait screen. After about a minute, an elite screen pops up saying something like "unable to access auto tune". That's based off memory, and it happened several times after restating the app and the bike. I'll try again in the AM to get more the specific messages.

What has V&H customer service told you? If you haven't already talked with them you should
