So, the wife and i plan on doing The SEA to SKY trip by Vancouver, on my 2012 FXDF. It has a badlander seat and I am wondering if any one else has this bike seat combo and if they have taken any long trip with a passanger. I know it will be fine for me, but i am concerned how her comfort level will be as HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE.
Thoughts guys and gals.
Thanks
Thinking she will not be up for a long ride on that. I went and had a custom seat made with my seat pan from a local guy here and my wife can ride all day now without problems. I had a tallboy seat at one time but the custom seat is by far way better for both of us. I'm 6'1" 216bls and she is 5'7" 140lbs.
yes, she is freaked out to ride with out the sissy bar, i have one ordered from the dealer, looks like the same one as you have on. i told her we would try and if i have too i will get a better seat, they are quick enough to switch...nothing money wont fix right
my girls tail bone starts bothering her quick on my seat like yours
i ordered a corbin seat, last month they call me & told me i had to have stiching on seat so i canceled order

Yep, thats the one i ordered, and i agree smooth leather look is better, too bad comfort and looks dont seem to go hand in hand.
Tried to find a pic of my custom seat. This is the best I could find. It has a nice size saddle and firm for long rides. It cost me $250 and well worth it!

So you just took a old seat and tore off the padding and had it redone at a apolstry place?
Yep! Tom took my seat pan and built it up...I asked him If I needed to leave the bike for him. He said nope I got this. He's local for me.....Fayetteville, Arkansas. Good guy and excellent work! His website is a little clunky but it has his contact info and you can email him.
