Congrats on the new ride! Take a look at stirrups instead of floorboards. You get almost as much flexibility in foot position and it keeps your feet planted firmly.

N 2595B light tinted I used a dye grinder and a cut off wheel to reshape the opening so it fits down closer on the lights.its sets 12.5'' above upper fork bracket. two ***** and off it comes and the hardware left on handle bars doesn't look bad. at 100 mph very little buffering and keeps pressure off your chest.

HD and Kuryakyn both sell them, I have the HD stirrups, but they are kind of spendy. You can check out forum sponsor DK Customs here which seems to be a decent price.

Congrats man. The fxdf is a great platform out of the box for sure. Every once in a while I find myself coveting a FXDB, then I go ride one and I'm always like "nope, still fat bob".

I had slip ons for a year and I was reasonably happy with them until I got more serious about letting the forum members help me spend my cash.

Used slip ons are a great way to go because you can usually unload them a year after buying them and not be out of pocket much. It's a cost effective way to have some sound while your bank account recovers and you ponder your overall plan.

My advice, grab some slip ons, throw them on your existing head pipes, don't touch your air cleaner and ride it like that until your sure what you want to do. Then go hard.

I have the exact same bike with screamin eagle slip ons and a catless header. The sound is good, not to loud. Considerably louder than stock for sure. Actually, if it were a bit louder I'd like it better, but it works when riding into the neighborhood late.

Congrats from another completely bias Dyna rider and welcome to the club. Here's my advice on upgrades for what it's worth. BEFORE you buy any critical or serious mod, do yourself a financial favor and search for it on this forum, ask your questions, THEN spend you hard earned money. This method will keep you from buying twice and wasting money. That's it! Ride safe and enjoy the Fatbob!

Nice Fat Bob - and great color choice from another slightly biased person!

I initially scored a set of second hand Khrome Werks slip one for mine which I used until I decided where I wanted to go with the Stage 1. Then I sold them on eBay and even made a slight profit!

I have a Phil Birch fairing on mine now, which makes 80mph feel like 60 used to in terms of wind blast.

Oh - and you'll get used to the jiffy stand!

Congrats. Love my Fatbob. 30,000 miles and haven't needed a windshield yet. Exhaust has been pretty well covered. Bottom line is you"ll eventually want a full system. Whether a slip-on will hold you over is up to you.
