Default brake line length fxdx 14in bars

I have a 2001 fxdx and have just ordered a set of 14in west coast mx bars. I'm trying to get all the pieces together for the install while I wait on the bars to get here. The only thing I'm not sure about at the moment is the length of brake line I'll need. Anyone know? I'm thinking around +6in but really have no idea. Any help is appreciated.

The best way to do that kind of stuff is to mount the bars and measure what length you'll need. Another way is buy one extra long that can be cut down to the correct length and reinstall the fittings.

Check out https://www.magnumshielding.com/inde...408&color_id=4. They have all different sizes.

Measuring once I mount the bars is probably the best way to get the exact size I need. but if someone has done a similar install and knows a length that would work for me, I could go ahead and order it to prevent more down time.

Thanks for the link. Those black braided lines look awesome!

I've got a 21" upper line on my FXDXT with 12" mxtbars. Maybe that'll help you out. The lower line obviously stays the same
