Need help fully dismantling fat bob dash
Morning guys, I'm trying to dismantle the dash for powder coating on my 2010 Fat Bob. I removed the ignition switch easy enough, and I think I understand removing the speedo, unclip the snap ring on the backside and pull it out? But I have no clue how to remove the gauge light cluster without breaking it off! I searched the forums for a walkthrough but didn't find anything. If I missed it I apologize in advance! Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Like Eric, it's been a while since I took mine apart, but I did take a pic from way back. As I recall, there are some plastic tabs on the LED panel that will release it from the console - see arrows in pic below. Spread the tabs carefully while prying on the panel. Hope this helps.

Yup. Just two plastic tabs. They do seem like they could snap off. Luckily mine didn't and I don't hear about it being a common problem so they are probably stronger than they seem. Not a crazy expensive part if you have to replace I think.

Ok so I got rushed to dismantled the dash because I was running late to drop it at the powder coaters, so I didn't take pictures. But you guys were dead on, the speedo was a breeze, unclip the snap ring and pull the speedo out. And the status lights were exactly as described, squeeze in the tabs and gently pull. Thanks a million for everyone's input!
