I super glued mine on. They make this great hissing sound in between motor backfires.

Seriously, I installed my Side Shots in about an hour although I'm sure it's not the mechanics of the install you question. If you are just installing the pipes and you have a stock air cleaner, you can get away without any remapping since essentially, you're not moving more air.

If you install a performance air cleaner, get ready for a host of options and opinions.

Hope this helps.

As long as you don't mess with the air cleaner yup you can just bolt em right on. The harley service manual says so. the thing is though is you will be puttin on bigger pipes so really to make the engine work good you gotta get more air into it, ie: the stage I kit & download

My opinion.... the download isn't enough. The download just barely enriches it, but does bump up the rev limiter. Skip the download and use that $ towards a phueler. Also, K&N philter.

Lot's of options on both phueler and philter back plate.

Honestly I wouldn't go with a V&H exhaust system without changing the intake and adding a SERT/PCIII/TFI

Does any new guy bother to search for stuff anymore? There are about a hundred threads relating to exhaust on these forums.
