So, I think this was covered by someone else who I think installed another manufacturers LED light bulb BUT, I bought the Cyron LED retrofit light from my local dealership for $69.95. It is a plug-n-play setup and it greatly improved the brightness of my headlight. I WAS running a Silverstar bulb. But as you can see from the pics, this 2500 lumen, 6000k white light works as advertised. It is 3-sided with two LED's on for normal projection, and all three lit up for high beam. It has a small cooling fan that runs all the time. I'm wondering if I should drill a small hole somewhere in my headlight bucket to allow some fresh air in. Even with a fan, there is no place to get any cooler/fresh air. Anyway, here are some pics of the unit and a before and after shot of the headlight.

Got any nite pic comparisons? How is it during nite rides? Looks good in pics
I had another thought.. daylight color temp is over 5000K (supposedly like 5600k at noon)
I wonder if that would blend in too much with natural light during the day?
if that were true then you wouldn't see all of the new HID lights from cars during the day, or the DRL LED's that manufacturers use (both use roughly 4500-6000 Kelvin temperatures depending on the manufacturer). plus you are viewing the light from a different angle than the noon day sun which casts shadows
I believe Fuel Moto sells something similar. There were some reports of the electronics showing a failure code since the voltage (or some other electric measure) was very different from stock. Did your bike have an issue like this?

They do make a version that is pretty much identical. Several manufacturers do make something similar. It depends on your year of bike if you will have problems or not. I'm pretty sure it is if you have the Canbus system. I have never had any problems with mine. Besides maybe lead poisoning since I bought a Chinese cheap Ebay one......LOL
