Had one years ago I rode on a cross country trip. Wish I would have put forward controls on it about six hundred miles in. Miss that bike but my WG fits me better.
Pros - regular top clamp, good lean angle, light, big motor, 6 speed trans, blacked out motor, extra cable length for bar swaps. Makes you wanna try and wheelie,
Cons- seat sucks, rear shocks need attention, single disk front brake, rear fender taillight combo sometimes needs a swap,
I changed:
Taller apes
Seat to a C&C
More black
Saddle bags
Put 2012 street glide shocks on it after trying the lowered progressives.
Thicker shock oil up front with progressive drop ins
Pros: Mostly everything. Any Dyna can be chagned to be like the other for the most part. Just depends on what platform you want to start with. More chrome, less black, factory color options, mini apes or drag bars, passenger pegs or not. I like the street bob because less is more because you can make it your own faster IMO.
I'd choose a Low Rider over a Street Bob. The LR takes care of all the cons the SB has.
The only con that the SB has re: LR is lack of a tach. I fixed that with a LR console & tach. The basics of the 2 are identical & the SB fixed the cons of the LR by eliminating a lot of gaudy chrome.

I guess the dual front brake on the LR doesn't count as an improvement for you. It does for me...
And then there is the room and foot pegs for the occasional eager...passenger😀
