I got my 3" extensions today. Put them on tonight. Very easy install except for the fact that I am a rookie and stripped a torx bolt with a allen wrench. I finally got it out after 2 more beers.
What a difference they make, way more comfortable to ride around on the short ride I went on. I do still have to adjust my break pedal but its dark out now, I can do that tomorrow.
I can't understand why, two years after the changes to the frame, no one has manufactured an extension kit for the forwards on the new Dynas. Seems it would just require 2" to be added to the brake and shifter linkages.
i agree, disappointing to say the least. in lieu ofan extended control kit (i do not want to buy another set of forward controls) Iam looking for solutions in the seat at the moment. Tryingsomething that'll move me back1 1/2" to 2".
I'd try a different seat now. That's what I'm about to do. I use the Touring seat and it pushes me up more than the stock. I'm thinking about having mine altered for a better fit. I've been talking to the folks at Mean City Cycles about this.
I am going to look at seats also. One problem I have is the stock seat is still in L.A. I want to put that on and see what they will do before I go and buy a new seat.
From what I have heard the corbin and the mustand seats sits you back farther. I like the seat I have right now for 2 up riding but I do want a nice single seat. I guess my main concern is what is the riding position difference in the stock seat and the dyne pillow 2 up seat.
