I'm going to make some phone calls tomorrow and get this ball rolling. I read in another thread that someone thought the alignment holes on the swing arm were off and were not a good way to align the rear wheel... What method did you use to align it? I've always used the alignment holes and have never had an issue but then again that's always been with a belt so there more room for error... When you set the tension, you said you removed one shock. Did you do something also to compress the rear suspension completely when setting the tension? At that point what was the measurement you had for freeplay? Was that measurement up/down play or just upward play? Did you end up with a 7/8" "spacer" and not an adapter? I'm assuming so since you ended up with those long arp bolts... Sorry about all the questions I just want to get on the right page here
I always align my bikes initially by the center of axle to the swing arm holes, then use two long fluorescent light tubes to align to front wheel.
Remove 1 shock had GF sit on bike to compress. Measure free play of chain at bottom chain. Barely any play at all at full compress will equal approx 11/16" play with both shocks installed bike level at rest on jiffy stand.
Did not use adapter used spacer but adapter is a great way to do it just have to buy two packs of ARP bolts the correct (and different) lengths.
Well I've been trying to get ahold of dynamic dyna for about a week now with no response thru phone or email... I was going to talk to them about getting a kit through them if the pricing was fair, which it seems it is. But if they don't want my business then that's fine I'll piece it together myself. Going to get my part numbers straight today and try to get everything needed between Bung King, direct cylce parts and summit for the arp bolts. Trying to save on shipping by limiting the number of vendors used. I'll post pricing when I get the orders in

Good to hear you are pressing on with the project. I was warned early on in my conversion by a member of this thread about Dynamic Dyna. I didn't heed his warning. No offense to them whatsoever, but that was a mistake. They provided some interesting relative information, but when it came to hard facts on spacer size and such, they either just guessed or purposely gave me wrong information. And when I did place an order for parts, it took forever to get them to me, and they didn't have the chain I wanted that was advertised as in stock. You'd be best to steer clear and do it yourself, which besides the shipping issue, can be easily done.

Is there another reliable place to get an EK chain that you know of? Bung King only carries RK. I was hoping to get that gold/ black EK chains
