Looking great Matt! Windshield? Do you have a tour planned or in mind?
No windshield, I hate the buffeting they bring. No tours coming either. .newborn sees to that. I've done several out of town trips up to Pittsburgh, Northeast PA, once down to Miami (over 1k miles in a day on that one. .wasn't pretty). I know I'll go up to Pittsburgh again over the years and I don't want to think twice before doing so. It's only ~240 miles but all highway would kill my legs with the forwards. This has been a long time coming I just wanted to do other things before adding the boards.
Those bags really flow well on that bike. The crash bars balance it all out. My buddy has a flat black fat bob with bags w/o the crash bars. His Looks okay because its a "fat" bike but I think the crash bars tie it together better. The chrome pipes break up the black nicely too, he's got black V&H short shots or straight shots?
I have a cure for buffeting posted in the general HD forums in case your interested.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...em-solved.html

Yeah I noticed when I added crash bars, without bags, it looks weird from behind. Same with bags w/o crash bars. Just doesn't look right to me. I had every intention of blacking the entire bike out when I bought it but I've fallen into a contrast theme that I like.
Looks good! I keep tossing around the floor board idea. It does look right with crash bar and bags for sure! I too have a little of both chrome and black going on mine. It is the way to go in my opinion, balance is good.
You going to keep your highway pegs where they are in the pic? Just wondering cause they look like they are in line with the boards. Didn't know how that works out for you.

I haven't decided yet. I can put my foot on them if that's what you mean, and rest my foot on the board and reach the pegs at the same time.
