Do the Dyna Models, specifically the Dyna Super Glide Custom, have known problems with them? Do certain years have annoying little issues that make owners regret their purchase?
I would like a Harley that requires little wrenching in between the required factory service internals. Something that I can ride for years to come without doing more than putting gas in the tank, changing the fluids, and swapping tires.
Only real common issues are with the '06 Dynas, and if you are aware of them and address them it isn't really a big deal. If I was shopping for one I'd probably go '07 and newer, just so it isn't a concern.
A modern Harley should be plenty reliable. The reliability concerns usually come when you start hot rodding them.
One problem my dyna has is it is too awesome! Hahathe newer bikes meaning from about 84-now are plenty reliable. Most of the issues you will have are when the bike isn't left stock and you or someone else does something to it
Damn freezing rain and snow this year was the main problem. I have a 2012 SB no issues. I do tighten loose bolts and such but that should be done on any bike.
Haha I'm liking these responses so far. The reason I ask is because all bikes no matter what make and model seem to have their issues. Bikes I have owned in the past had little things like the fuel gauge sensor being inaccurate, the speedometer being up to 10% off at times, and various whistles and squeaks. Granted these were cheaper Japanese sport bikes and not a much higher priced Harley. I suppose I have high expectations in terms of quality and craftsmanship of the Dyna model.
