Just got home with the new Super Glide, I had the dealer do the stage 1 with the SE exhaust they SOUND LIKE $hit! ! ! ! !
I had Cycle Shack pipes on the 06 Sporty that sounded 100% better.Question is is there ANYTHING that I can do to get a decent sound from the SE pipes
Thanks for all the input

Don't know what bike you got, but if you have an 07 with the new SE slip ons designed for the 07, then yes they suck. They are not much better than stock. I got the old SE II's for 91-05 and they sound good. They fit, and I haven't had any problems with the way it runs.
Vote #4 for V&H. Mine sound great. Did the stage 1 myself with a fuelpak. Newbie here too. Like to do the work myself if I can. Also, I'm a cheap little bastard, don't want to give more than I have to to the dealer.
I really like the sound of my Rush pipes. If you can't spend any more cash on pipes right away, here is a neat trick. Go to the hardware store and buy a 2 inch hole saw, the kind with a 1/4 drill in the center, and a couple feet of 1/4 inch steel rod. Use the rod for an extension, chuck it all into an electric drill and saw a hole through the muffler baffles, 1 at a time untill you get a sound you can live with. You will have to get your fuel injection remapped when you are done.

Sounds kinda like a popcorn fart don't it? [:'(]
Buy Cycle Shacks for your Super Glide and get rid of the SE.
Of maybe replace the baffles with Big City Thunder baffles.
I have Cycle Shack slip-ons on mine and they sound great.
