I just got the C&C fastback and i felt it very confortable for a 300 mile trip, was using a badlander and that gave me monkey butt after 30 min on it.

This C&C has the passenger just like the square back with back support wich is good and even thou is not a plush seat its still very confortable, im 6' tall and weight 265 lbs.

I've had the Corbin fastback on my Dyna since 1999. Hard but surprisingly very comfortable. I am totally satisfied with it.

I have a Road King which when I bought it had the stock seat. Wife didn't like it but rode 2-3 hrs with me. She bought me a sundowner and didn't do much different for her. The I bought a Corbin dual touring seat and she rode about 3-4 hrs before she was completely done. I am wondering if its the seats or just her. anyone else have a wife who doesn't feel comfortable on a bike with any advice? I'm trading to a softail slim with a gunfighter since i can only get her on the bike every month or so now with the dual touring road king and progressive 944 suspension.

Default Corbin Gunfighter

I have the gun fighter on my SB. When I was using footboards it was comfortable. I put mids on it and I guess the change in leg position has put pressure on my tail bone. It might just need to break in for the new seating position. I just came back from a +/- 300 miles in the hill country and I feel like I am the one being broke.

The FXR in my sig picture has a Corbin Gunfighter seat, and I love it. It has the backrest hole in it if I wanted an optional backrest, but I don't need it. The seat isn't mushy, nor is it hard as a rock. It's firm and comfortable, providing the support I need for longer rides.

Corbin raised the seat up one inch for me because I told them that I don't like to sit low in the saddle. I have long legs, and don't like the feeling of sitting on the ground. With my seat the way it is, I'm able to shift my body weight around much easier on the mids, and make the bike do what I need it to do.

Cost was $299 + $25 tax, and $25 shipping. They didn't charge me anything to raise the seat up an inch.

I have a Close Gunfighter on my '13 FXDB. My back is wrecked from jumping out of planes for 4+ years. Few weeks ago I did about 3000mi in a week and my corbin seat was perfectly fine, I am very happy with it.

I have a Corbin Gunfighter on my 02 Dyna and on my 11 Road King. I wouldn't ride anything else. I ride tank to tank to tank.

I think Corbin and C&C use a very similar high density seat foam that does take some breaking in. I don't think the C&C is quite as hard but it's close based on me riding a buddy's bike that had a Corbin. I've also owned a Mustang and it didn't work for me at all but obviously it works for others. You really have to think about what you think is comfortable in a seat and go with it. If you don't like it, sell it and move on. My C&C solo on my Road Glide was an all day seat, the C&C solo on my Street Bob is just as comfortable as long as you aren't running down the interstate as I feel like I'm inches from being blown off the seat. I'm thinking of doing some sort of 2 up C&C for longer travel since they can work in more back support with a 2 up.

I have not experienced a Corbin seat but the Gunfighter photos I see look a lot like the HD seat on my son's Low Rider...and, I have experienced that hard-*** pos...

When I was looking for a long ride seat when the Sundowner (which also came highly recommended) on my Super Glide was just not hacking it on long rides, folks here pointed to the Mustang Wide Vintage. I went that route and my first impression was, "F__k!" "This seat is hard as an old steel tractor seat..." Despite my initial impression, that seat has made all the difference in comfort on a couple of long rides. The interesting thing about these two seats is that the Sundowner provides the most initial comfort, in other words, it feels good from the first time you sit in it, but, like the original HD seat, it gets pretty uncomfortable after a few hours. The Mustang Wide Vintage was not as soft and comfortable at first, but was more comfortable longer during those long rides. An initial impression was to expect the exact opposite.

I am certain that there are other seats out there that look good and will provide the comfort you are looking for on that long ride, but finding just the right one for you can be a overwhelming chore. Lots of choices, lots of opinions for and against all of them. Personally, I only have experience with the HD seat on my SG and son's LR, the Sundowner on my SG, and now the Mustang Wide Vintage on my SG. Of those seats, the Mustang is by far and away the most comfortable. And, it is rare to see someone complaining about a bad experience with any Mustang seat.
