Default Jiffy Stand Install

Hey all, going to finally install my -1 jiffy stand. I've got an 11 SB. Is it just remove bolt and drop it out and replace?

Straight forward, most difficult part is the spring but pretty easy.

Been there done that

You are better off keeping your stock jiffy stand and just trimming the tab.

Why's that? I would still need to remove it to cut the tab wouldn't I?

The stock jiffy stand was beefier that the -1" jiffy stand that I bought. I believe it was a Arlen Ness.
The stock jiffy has a longer loop to grab with your foot.
Much better over all fit
Stock stand comes off and you will have to grind the small tab. This allows the bike more lean angle.
Do a search on this forum and you will find the details...

I've seen the tab mod threads here and elsewhere. I've heard a lot of people who didn't like the way it went in on the frame notch after the mod. I was thinking you were saying that because it was easier to go that route. I got the new stand as a gift so if I don't like it I'm not out anything and I'll grind the tab. Mine is not the Ness unit, don't know if it will make much difference though.

A spring tool is cheap and forever in your toolbox. For the same price, I would not smash my knuckles
