2013 street bob speedo problem

So I was just riding home from work, and toward the end of my ride my speedo back lighting went off. A couple of seconds later and it came back on. I've never seen this happen before. Has anyone else? Any ideas on why it did that? I know my bike threw a code a while back and the dealership tried to **** me, then changed out all kinds of electronics and eventually said the speedo was the problem. They supposedly put in a new speedo under the warranty. Any help would be cool, don't want anymore issues with my baby!!!!

My low rider did the same thing a few weeks after I got it. It happened twice in the span of a few days but hasnt done it since and that was a year ago.

Good to know, hopefully there's nothing wrong. I think I'll call the dealership to see when my warranty expires just incase.

it does have a light sensor in it so if you go from dark to light it will turn off the backlight. at least mine does.

This might be it. The only other thing I cam think of is a faulty bulb connection.

Thay would be great haha, maybe I've just never seen it before. What bike do you have? And can you see the sensor on you gauge anywhere? Would be awesome if that it haha.

my 2015 street bob does. not sure where it is but there an ambient light sensor in the speedo face somewhere. cover it with your hand and backlight comes on. uncover in light and it goes off.
