i was thinking of changing that huge *** lighthouselattern hanging off the back of my bike, to a kuryakanlow profile smoked L.E.D. reartail light. does anyone have any pics of one, so i can see if i like it. what are your pros and cons of this mod? do they all have the turn siganls in them to? i dont want the turn signals in them just the led lights. were is a good place to buy them? on thier webite they want 169.00 for it, i found it for 98.99, is thier a better price out there, that you know of? thanks jackyl
I got the one with the signals in it phrom phat performance parts. They also have the one without the signals. Best price I saw anywhere. Personally I like the signals in it. Doesn't make the install any more difficult, and it does work with the stock turn signal bulbs. You don't need to replace them with LED bulbs.
Haven't taken any pix directly of it, but it shows in these.
ws6, how did you ever come up with the idea of taken the taillight apart and painting the reflector flat black?
I guess a couple things from my past, when I was a kid I use to race slot cars and they had clear plastic body's that you painted with a flat paint on the inside and you would get the gloss on the outside from the plastic. And my 1965 GTO hasreal nice hidden tail lights, chrome ribs that went over the red light had the sides of the ribs paintedsemi glossblack, photo below
The first thing I didwas toput a piece of black plastic from a trash bagto cover thereflector of theturn signaljust to see how it looked, and to also make sure it still gave off enough light before I painted the reflectors of the turn signalsand tail light.
