Been runnin big city thunder baffles in my short shots for the past 2yrs.. just order a set of thunder torque inserts and installed them.. weather should be nice friday to get the bike out and test them out.. ill let you what i think when i do.. i went with 158's..
Reason i decided to try them is because my stock carb screw up this spring and put a mikuni on,then had it jetted at a shop.. been having more decel pop than i had before and i figured the better back preaure would help with this.. ( i also ordered a master jet kit to better fine tune the carb to get rid of the decel pop. ) .
For $20 i figured id give them a try to see if they are better as they say they are.
So i got her all back together today and had a chance to get out for a quick ride before the rain move in...
I'll start with sound...BCT has the better sound out of the 2.. now i did go with the larger 158 TT so maybe if i stepped down to the smaller ones it might help.. i really like growl u get from the BCTs when u let off the throttle. I lost that with the TT. The BCTs are louder too. If sound is what you are lookin for, BCT wins.
The decel pop calmed down a little better with the TT. Gonna rejet this weekend to get it cleared up the rest of the way..
Performance wise, with the TTs it seems like it pulls alot better in midrange compared to the BCTs. Im gonna run with the TTs for a couple weeks then throw the BCTs back in and see if i notice a drop off. .
