06 was the last year for the TC88 motor. The TC96 started in 07. You can do a 103 from an 88 with just bore. The 103 was the engine in the CVO bikes until they went to the 96 and it then became the 110 in the CVO bikes. It's just a different size bore from 88 to 103 and from 96 to 110. The only difference in the crank was from the 88 to the 96. The 96 has a longer stroke.
BTW My Road glide has a 103 in it and it is the hottest running engine I have ever seen in a bike.

you can also get a complete S&S T111" Crate Motor for around $5.5k. Or their T124" for around $6k. Much better deals & engines than the HD103" at $5k IMO.
