The best thing about DK adjustable highway mounts...
I started to replace my mids with either forwards or foot boards but thought I'd try some DK BMX pegs and forwards first. I'm so glad I did. I've got a Ultra Classic and I'm use to being able to change my footing position which to my is key on keeping my legs comfortable. The BMX pegs are awesome set to where I can rotate them. I thought I'd like them better tight but that little bit of movement allows me to get under the shifter or move the ankles forward or back. I can even stand them vertical when at a red light to get my legs more inwards of the bike. If the red lights really long, I can spin them just for fun.
Here's the best part. I adjusted my highway mounts in the middle of the positioning holes. This allow's me to use my heel to downshift and rocking the back of my boot up to upshift without leaving the highway pegs. I can even use my heel to scrub speed on the brake while on the highway pegs. Brilliant! It's like a reverse heel no-toe shifter?
