I just installed some new grips on my Dyna FLD and they went on good. The only problem is now the bike won't start. The lights go on when I turn the ignition switch on however when I hit the run button the fuel pump dosen't start and the bike won't start. I noticed when I was putting back the screws I put a screw on a wrong hole on the throttle side a got a small spark. Did I short out something or blow a fuse? I can't tell how to get out the fuses to check. Can anyone give some advise? Thanks.

Take the controls bake apart and see what got screwed up before you look at fuses. Nothing up there should spark putting it back together, might have bent a connector that needs to be fixed before you put power back to it.
If you saw a spark you probably blew a fuse. This is where looking at the owner's manual can be helpful.
The fuse box is behind the cover on the left side, along with a picture of the fuse layout. If there's not a plastic fuse puller in the box and you can't pull it out with your fingers use needle nose pliers.
ya pinched the wires when you tightened the two housings together...
Take it apart and you should be able to see where the insulation has been damaged. Reroute the harness and try again. There is a certain way the right hand switch harness routes that guarantees a pinch...and for some reason (Murphy strike), I keep absent mindedly routing it that wrong way every time I am not focusing on I am doing and paying attention...and blowing the fuse.
Thanks I did blow a fuse and replaced it. I was surprised to see there was just 2 15 amp fuses and a 40 am main. Also nothing was labeled as to what each fuse was for.

Glad you found the fuse, but if you damaged a wire that caused it to blow don't be surprised if it happens again. Hopefully you got lucky and just touched a contact with the screw.
