Got 800 miles on my Low Rider and put my stage 1 upgrade parts on today. Got the stage 1 download from my dealer last week and ordered an Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake and Screaming Eagle Nightstick slip on.
Was really pleased how it sounded and ran. No surging or knock, very little decel pop. Rode by my dealer and had one of the techs check it out. He said I should have no problems with the setup.
Nightstick has a deep sound almost like an old school glass-pack which I prefer to some of the louder pipes I've heard. Seems like the bike has really woke up in terms of performance. I ordered a Supertrapp open end cap for the pipe and wondered if anyone had done this mod?
Talked to a friend that is a welder/fabricator and he volunteered to help me decat the head pipe when we both have the spare time. When that's done, I'm done with mods and plan to ride the $&!# out of the thing.
