I did the same thing. Got the forum price on the super chip. Woo hoo great price but found there was no love for my 14 Wide Glide. Sent it back and got the FP3. No looking back.

Loaded the recommended map on install. Got rid of most of my decal pop. Bike seems to be running cooler also. At least not cooking my right thigh while stuck in traffic.

Still in autotune mod. Once it finishes an I load it I will let you know how it does.

I guess the biggest thing is the bike seems to be running better so that is worth it.
