Quick question, what is a Indy shop? I'm new to the forum and Harley's, I have seen the term Indy shop around here and was wondering what it was.

Independent Mechanic, i.e. Non Harley Davidson.

Not sure where you are in So Cal but Mat Cortez is a good indy in Fullerton

Thats a couple hours north of me, I am pretty close to the border. Hopefully I will be able to find one a bit closer.

Any personal experience with any of them? SD Custom Cycles would be the closest to me, but if you recommend going to one over the others I am willing to take that extra drive. Thanks.
