Dumb question but I see people say they take their bike to an indy for repairs. What does that mean.
Yep an Independent bike mechanic who usually has a much greater love for HD's than any HD shop I've ever been to.
The work is better and cheaper, parts are cheaper and the advice from an Indy too is usually cost effective and correct.

most Indys are interested in your bike. Most dealers are interested in your money. Get to know your local indys so mods and upgrades will become something to look forward to rather than dread. On a side note, the FSM is your friend.
