Half helmet, with a windshield and had the speaker mounted to the handle bars pointing right at my head. I went back to my helmet mounted speakers for now. As for my hearing it is tested every two years for work and it is close to perfect.
Agreed - this thread was done before and that how I found the speaker and go to thinking of a way to mount it and have been striking out. I want my cake and eat it too! I'd like to be able to have it mounted cleanly and also be able to remove it easily when not used and not leave much behind - hence why I thought a windshield pouch would be good.
Super08-how did you have it mounted to your handlebars?
I don't know if I got a weak one or what. As soon as I tried it in the house when it came in the mail I thought it wasn't going to be loud enough but tried it anyways. With the volume at max it was far from what I would call loud.
I just used some Velcro off a bulk roll I had to temporarily mount it. If it would have worked I was going to buy some handle bar clamps and make a nice mount for it.
Super08- I did the same. I own a JBL volt or charge (whatever is more $$) and it's awesome. I saw the skullcandy one and though, hey, vibration and water resistant, plus we have two bikes, I'll try it. Opened it up upon delivery and kinda thought it wasn't as powerful as the JBL.
I'd put it low on the bars where it clamps to the risers and angle it so the weight of the speaker is over the top of the mount, not hanging out. The issue I see is this looks plastic, which worries me because the speaker is not as light as a phone.
