Default Forward controls question

hey how's it going. I have an 06 street Bob I have forward controls on it but they are 1-2 inches out of my comfort zone. I'm just wondering if anybody knows if anybody makes any brackets that slightly move them back a little.

Here's another view. I'd rather not go back to mid controls

If you want the reduced reach forwards, you will have to replace all of it. HD has the kit. Its not cheap. I'd suggest a reduced reach seat. Will cost a lot less in the end, and is easy to switch back.

One or two stock seats have that extra to move you up closer. I think the Low Rider. I bet you could find someone's take-off cheap, and see of that works. Stock seats may not be the best, but you could get a pretty good idea if it will work for you. .

I would also suggest looking in to either heel rests or wider foot pegs. I had heel rests on my bike when I first bought it and they made it so my feet didn't have to stretch forward so much to be comfortable. Also I'm 5'7 and with those I am super comfortable with forwards. I didn't really like the look of heel rests so put on dk customs bear traps, like bike pedals. They are wide enough so I didn't need the heel rests anymore. But regular pegs are too much of a stretch for me.

OK thanks guys I didnt even know they made these things, i'm new to the Harley world sorry.

Ill try the seat first maybe, if that doesn't work I can get the reduced controls also. I really am not sure how I feel about the looks of the heel rest but wider pegs is for sure in order.

NO you don't replace every thing ,,, OEM reduced reach control set is two plates and a shorter brake rod

Look for a 1=2" off set extension. Kury has some that worked great for my passenger pegs. These also can be used for reduced reach.

I put Kuryakyn's Switch Blades on my wife's WG. She is about 5' 7". Kind of nice she says cause they are wider, and she can have a heel rest if and when she wants it. I would try the pegs first and go from there. Next up would be a seat IMO. Plenty that move you a bit forward. I say get a comfortable one while you are at it, but once again that is just my opinion.

I saw a Bob once that had rectangular plates made from 5/16 inch steel bar stock with holes drilled in them used to re-position the forward controls a little more forward and down for a tall rider...I made up a pair to try on my SG to move the controls more forward after I found that my new Mustang Wide Vintage seat moved my position up and forward. It worked great but the new position caused the engine guard and fog lamps to interfere with the brake pedal and I want the engine guard and lamps more than the forwards re-positioned. It looks like you might be able to do this to move the controls up and back some. If you think you might want to try this, you will have to make sure your rear brake control rod can be adjusted short enough and not bind.
