I would think shorter shocks in the rear on a Breakout would life the bike up, longer ones would lower it.......being a shotail and all.

I would appreciate that Qdog.

I appreciate all your guys assistance, but at this time all I need is the correct level of fluid to put in my tubes.

Thanks

2010 FXDWG

3.74inch from top of fork tube (29.4oz)

pump slider 8-10 times

fork fully compressed with spacer and spring removed then measure

i done mine not long ago, I bought a 4lt ATF Castrol i reckon it was just over a litre per tube, so get 3 x litre bottles if using the harley oil (not sure if comes in 4lt)

I appreciate your help.

It was actually my fault. I should have specified 49mm.

Pigbacon,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. For the 49mm WG tubes, you fill to 5.8" from the top of the tubes. (forks fully compressed) The 26 oz sounds about right. The 2" longer forks that I put on the WG took almost a full quart each.

It's all good. Just making sure I have enough oil.

Thanks guys for all your assistance.

Thought I'd give you guys a look at the wide glide fork tubes on my Softail.

Thanks bl_dg for the tubes. They make a vast improvement. No more scraping.
