I was dissapointed in the sound of mine on my 02 FXD as well. I pulledout the bafflesandputbig holes in the flat spot that is right in the middleon the forward side of them. I used a 3/8 bit & put 2 holes, one right above the other then used a dremel with a cut off wheel to cut the piece out between the 2 holes making one oval hole. I get compliments all the time on how good it sounds from guys with high dollar aftermarket pipes.
Just loud enough and a real nice deep tone with no crackle.

SE II slip-ons are essentially stock, no improvement sound or scavenging
There's a difference between the screamin eagle and the screamin eagle II's which the moco no longer sells. The screamin eagles are barely louder than stock and legal in 49 states. The screamin eagle II's are much louder than stock and are "for off road use" only."
Yep, I think some may be refering to the newer SEs. The SEIIs [especially with BCTs] - the ones the Moco don't sell any longer - are definitely not close to stock. My buddy with an 04 Dyna and V&H Short Shots. Put us together at a stoplight and you won't hear his. Definitely has a deeper exhaust note.

Bike looks great just wondering if you have a detatchable saddle bag system? I noticed the studs on the rear rail. If so did you remount the blinkers to the license plate? What did you go with and what do you think?
Thanks

Yes, those are the detacheable mounting points for the bags. One of the best purchases I've made. The bags work very well, detach in seconds. Just relocated the signals to the license plate.

Ready for touring:

Oh Ok very nice again Az. What kind of bags and detatchable system is that? I am lookin to do the same to my 05 Dyna Super. I saw easybrackets advertised in a magazine sells for $150 they have a website easybrackets.com. I wanna try and do this before Laconia.
Thanks

really depends on if you want to be totally street legal (emissions AND sound) or not.
