Default Screaming Eagle Staggered Duals

Hello,

I'm having second thoughts about the the Screaming Eagle Staggered Dual mufflers I just ordered.

They have a better tone than stock pipes, but are no louder.

So I'll see if they can get me some S&S or Freedom performance mufflers instead.

I'm trying to find a set of pipes nearly identical in appearance to the stock pipes.

I wonder if it's worth modifying a set of stock pipes?

What would you do?

Not one single CURRENT hd SE exhaust would ever be even considered by me.

I'd look at all the options worth consideration and go from there

Not what would I do, what I did.
I wanted to keep the stock look too, I went with S&S, got the pair for 150.00
Been almost 2 years with them now and they sound great to me, they arnt too loud, just loud enough to sound healthy and have a deep tone not tinny. They offered to sell me a pair of Screaming Eagle slip on's at dealer when buying the bike but I saw no sense in getting another catted muffler.

Pull the baffles and install a set of DK Customs TTI's. Under $30 shipped (to USA, anyway). Great sound and performance.
You can also look at Cycle Shacks, they have a few different styles and if I remember, they offer a stock-looking set. They can be had for under $150.
