Lets rephrase this. The mufflers came on a new Screaming Eagle Ultra. They don't have a screamin eagle logo on them so they are not the same exhausts that you would find in the accessories catalog. They are truely stock.
A friend of mine has offered his stock 08 Screaming Eagle Ultra slip ons to me. I cant afford pipes so I've had to live with stock slip ons on my 08 Ultra. Does anyone know if they will sound any different than my stock slip ons or am I wasting my time changing them?

Bryan is right, when I referred to pipes in my post I thought you meant 'mufflers'. Mufflers sound much better, if you are referring to just exhaust 'pipes' without changing mufflers, there will be no change.
My grammatical error, one to many whiskeys tonight...

I figured he meant mufflers too, just wanted to make sure that's what he was asking about. Yes to def better over stock muffs.
I haven't started yet, but the night is still young.
