My Bike is pretty much bone stock but I have been wanting to do what a lot of you have done... I want to get rid of everything on the rear fender and maybe even chop it a little.
Here is the rub though, I dropped by the Moco and they said almost two thousand dollars. Now I will be the first to admit I look retarded... but its just the look. How much should this cost me? Maybe hit up an indie shop or try to muddle thru on my own.
Please give feedback on how hard this would be to do by myself and how much this should actually run me if I took it to an independent shop.

This is where you goto Home Depot, buy some tools and start cutting. Chop bikes should be chopped by the person that owns and rides it, nobody else (unless a friend helps). Enjoy the process, make some mistakes, learn from them and come back and tell us stories about it.
Go to your local MC swap meet, buy a couple fenders, chop those up till you get it right and run that. Dont chop your stock fender....I bought a couple fenders for my sporty and they only cost me 10-20 dollars at the long beach MC swap meet. This way if you screw it up, you can still run your stock fender.
