Just wondering what some of you guys use to clean and shine your bikes. I was in the dealer yesterday and noticed how great all of the paint looked on the bikes. I use S 100 cleaner to wash the bike but don't usually wax it. As far as the chrome goes I think nothing works better than someFoam Windex in the can. Brings out a great shine to the chrome.
Thanks
A bucket of hot/warm water and some plain old mild liquid dish detergent works for me. Sometimes use the spray S-100, but if the bike's going to get wet in the rinse anyway, might as well hose it off good first. Besides, the S-100 won't get off those stubborn bugs and other flying crap that seemes to latch on to the front of the bike, that has to be scrubbed a little to get it off.
I also use the polish mentioned above in between washes. I try to dust it off prior to using polish as the dust can scratch the clear coat. For some really good answers talk to 3dog. He is the master.

This stuff works real good. Real easy to use. The Harley Spray cleaner in the picture above sucks in my opinion. Hard to get it all off. Leaves a residue. People say the Honda-brite is real good, but I am reluctant to spray 'honda' all over my Harley. Think I might offend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had great luck with Harley Gloss on both bikes. Use it to get bugs off and just shine it up. Tried other kinds and always come back. The only time the bikessee water is when they get reeeaal dirty or the dealer washed it after services. Use it when you first get back and the bugs come off pretty easy plus having it on there helps in getting them off the next time.
I love the Harley Gloss! I wash the old fashioned way with a hose, a bucket, and a sponge, but the Harley Gloss is a great finisher. It's easy to apply, easy to polish, goes on any surface, and really shines up nice. Other than that, it's a normal car wash routine. I actually think it's relaxing.
I use the Harley Bug remover to knock the bugs off after each ride (They come off much easier when they're FRESH). Then polish it of with the Harley Gloss, and hit the black engine with the S100 Engine Brightener. So Far So good... Thats whata friendrecomended... He actually reccomended some stuff called HOG spit for the engine... he says its the "BEST", I havent tried it yet tho...
