Ok, so bars are ordered (went with Wild 1 Chubby 8" T-bars), new grips ordered. Now looking at while I'm doing that and since the tank will be loose, relocating the turn signals to the forks. Problem.... I can't get a straight answer from anybody as to whether the relocation kits put them on the bracket under the triple tree or the 39mm rings. Which ones work?
I relocated mine on my 2003 to the triple tree clamp using a small bracket like the ones from Dennis Kirk p/n 215903. (Had my local order it from drag specialties) This kit kept them nice and tight to the front forks and I didn't have to extend the wires.
I tried the HD p/n 68517-94A and while mounting up the same the HD set stuck the turn signal out about 2 inches away from the forks and I didn't like the looks of it.

ain't it funny how it goes...I put 2 inch chrome spacers on the short mounts that were on my son's '04 Low Rider because he thought they were too close to the tubes and not far enough out...
They also sell a full clamp on mount that you can mount anywhere on the front fork tubes.
Some like them tucked in close to the forks and some don't. I have a Dead Center Cycles batwing on my 03 and after I installed it I bought the HD set, i didn't like the look of them sticking out so far up against the batwing so that's when I got the close up set.
My son has the clamp on the tubes style and I am using the Harley relocation kit p/n 68517-94A. We ride in some pretty serious traffic and I just wanted to make sure that I was as visible as possible with the lights setup I had and bright bulbs with separation is one way. I ride daily and don't use shaped wind deflectors other than a windshield on those few really cold nasty days we get down here. Since the difference with the looks is not all that significant to me, the relocation kit and Custom Dynamics LEDs up front was a better fit for my needs.
