I removed the front fender from my Wide Glide. Any concerns with this? My brother thought wasn't a good idea but seems find to me. Of course the front end will get a little messy but so far so good.

Rock chips don't look so bad on a fat bob tank... I have plenty w/ my front fender on - can only imagine what it would look like w/o the fender.
The dealer dented my fender last week so it is out getting repainted. Tuesday I got rained on riding home from work. At first I noticed something was different but i couldn't put my finger on it. ThenI realized that it was the six foot rooster tail of water coming up and over the windshield and hitting me in the face because of the missing front feder.
I rode fenderless briefly while waiting for my fender to be painted. I hated it. Just riding through an area where they are watering the grass andthe road gets a little wetis enough to make a mess of the legs of your pants. I rode once after it rained. The streets were dry except for a few mudpuddles. Same deal, slung it everywhere. I don't know if the tire can actually sling a rock at your face, but after a few rides I started to worry about it.
Maybe it's cool . . .maybe . . .but it ain't for me. Be careful.
I had mine off for a while until I hit some road kill. The bike and myself got splatted with chunks of rancid meat and blood. Nasty! Put it back on that day. I really liked the look, but it does serve a purpose.
