Can you tell me if the air shocks where an improvement?
i am thinking about replacing the stock dyna shocks with airshocks from a touring model.. can get a decent set cheap
I know i am bringing an old thread to life, and i hope you are willing to share your experience
Yea very OLD THREAD, and a LOT of info out there about those stock shocks on HD's.....they suck.......get something else......there is PLENTY to read about in these forums about shocks.
All depends on your price range and personal opinion of them, no two ***'s are alike

I agree big time, I have had two touring bikes with HD air shocks on them and could not pull them off fast enough, they suck big time.

kind regard's,

I know these guys didn't have much good to say about the bagger air shocks, and while I agree they are not great shocks for a bagger, they are an improvement over the stock shocks on Dynas & Sportsters.
I ran a set of air shocks from an 09 Road King on my Dyna. At first I ran 30 PSI and found they were way too bouncy. But once I lowered the PSI to 5 or sometimes 10 and they rode much nicer. I would think even at 0 PSI they would be better than stock Dyna shocks.
The only issue I ran into was they hit the belt guard on the left side. Easy fix though, just put a couple washers behind the shock to shim it out, or do what I did and remove the belt guard.
