What should it cost for the s/e slip ons ,air cleaner, and download At the parts counter or ordering online or haveing it installed on the bike? I was at the dealer today and wide glides had dealer installed stage 1 and a wide tire kit installed 180 rear for $945. I would want the stage 1 kit but am capeable to put it on myself if they gouge for install. Freight was $275 and $345 for setup. They sell at msrp.
I think Bill is spot on for the A/C, I think I paid 229 for the SE slip ons, and I am a carb, so no clue about the remap charge for cost or time. If you are a wrench at all the pipes and A/C should take no more than 1 1/2 hours if you really take your time, it's pretty simple to do
I recommend NOT getting slip-ons. For and extra C-note you can get some nice pipes. When you remove that crappy stock exhaust system, you will understand.
Check out ebay too. I bought the SE Air cleaner and some SE slip ons for under $150 total. Installed it myself, it's pretty simple and straight forward. I have a carb so can't you help with the down load.
There's been quite a few people that have found that the stock head pipes actually work pretty well as compared to other aftermarket systems.
Yes, slipons work well but they look only so so and it leaves that hodgepodge of a stock exhaust in place. People only use slipons because they're easy to install. Do it once and do it right.
I don't know the price of the slip ons, but the download is $150 + labor. I just had it done on Monday. They only billed me for a half hour of labor. Here in NY, an hour of labor is $90!!!!!!!!!!!!!
