I got the turn signals relocated to the back, but when i try to install the easy bracket system, it isn't working. i've added both bolts to the fender rails and then when i try to slide the bracket piece, the bolts aren't aligning with the holes in the brackets. the bolts are set wider than the bracket holes and won't work. Anyone have this problem or better yet, a solution? I've left a VM with Dave at EB and am awaiting his call back. thought i'd try here.
i was just looking at the fender strut on the right side of my 02 fxd, relocating the turn signals should have left two holes in the fender strut towards the rear. the easy bracket "button" goes in the second hole, left to right, face right side of bike, the first hole should have had a plug for it.the third hole, left to right, is where the other easy bracket button goes. the replaces the strut mounting bolt. this is of course if your strut is any thing like the "older dynas" . hope this helps out. one last question, did you get the correct kit for the year and model of your dyna?
yeah, 3 holes and the mounting bolts are in spots 2 and 3. But when i try to line up the hole in the bracket with the bolts, the bracket doesn't seem wide enough. As far as getting the right part, i'm about 99% sure. Here's exactly what i ordered: http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/...t_Code=EB-DYNA
I am not going to mount a sissy bar, so i won't need the bracket that assumes for that bolt on.
You may have the wrong kit. As I understand it after 05 the Dynas Struts are slightly different due to the larger rear fender. There is an actual easy bracket part number for the 06 and up dyna's.
I ordered from Phat Performance, so i've contacted them about a trade. I need to just re-order the correct part and hope they will refund me from my incorrect purchase.
