it took about a week or so. they're in Cali and i'm in Texas, so with travel and payment and such it took that amount of time. I just ordered the correct part with them and am having it delivered under the 2 day option. I can't wait another week!
Once you get them on, you'll be glad you bought the Easy Brackets. I've had mine on for a year now and they work great. Bolting the saddlebags to the brackets needs to be done carefully so they both line up with each other and where you want them. After that, 30 seconds on and locked or unlocked and off.
when you say bolting them on carefully, do you mean actually attaching the bracket to the bag or do you mean attaching the bag (with the bracket) to the bike?
i have the easy brackets on my 05 wide, at first i loved them but now i am thinking of changing to ghost brackets, i thought my engine was blowin, only to find out that when bags are on they rattle like hell, i called easy brackets, and they said to install a washer between one of the posts to make it off angle and tweaked, bad advise, i will not jerry rig a thing, so they are buy buy
Talked to the guy at Phat last night and the *correct* brackets will be sitting on my doorstep today when i get home from work. It should be a quick install. I've not drilled into the bags yet, but i don't forsee that being a problem. I'm pretty **** when it comes to installing things like that and making sure everything is perfect (foregoing my obvious inability to order the correct parts).
Bob, i heard the same thing from a number of other posts here on the boards and on others about the washer *fix*. I've also heard that as long as you have something in the bags, the rattling will subside. I've also been forewarned that the ghost brackets aren't as good quality as easy. but this is all hearsay.
