Default Which Seat for Back Support?

Hi Everyone -

I have an 06 Street Bob and am looking for a seat that will provide some measure of good back support. I am considering a Saddlemen Explorer and Le Pera Cherokee which have some back support 'built in', as well as a Mustang Wide Vintage Touring with an actual back rest. I would be buying it online without the ability to actually see it, let alone know what it would look like on my bike. If any members actually have one of these (or similar) seats, I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on how you like them regarding back support and overall comfort and quality.

Thanks a bunch
Glenn

Yes it is very similar. Do you get good back support?

Works for me, I'm about 5'6" so YMMV. It holds me in the saddle under acceleration & I'm not experiencing any lower back aches with normal riding.

I have a Corbin solo Touring with a back rest. I really like it. Don't know how it compares to some of the others you have asked about though.
If you do go the Corbin route remember that they will be stiff for the first few hundred miles. Most people say about 500 miles to break them in, and if I remember the company says up to 1,000 miles. I believe mine was in the 500 range, but it felt pretty good from the get go, and just one day was softer.

I agree on the 500-1000 range for break in. Was the same on mine.

My Mustang Fastback has slightly more back support than my Lepera Daytona did. But they're both great seats with a similar look.

Love my Saddleman RS Explorer so far but 100 miles is the longest test ride so far. I have a very screwed up lower back for 20 plus years and this rest is a good one and very easily adjustable on the fly!

Just sat on a buddy's Dyna who has the Saddlemen Dominator with the matching back rest -- very comfortable. I don't have a photo of his, but here's what it looks like.

I recently added the HD adjustable seat back It has made a world of difference. Not the prettiest seat back but the fact that I can adjust on the run , simply rocks. NO longer have any lower back pains on longer rides. and due to the fact it is adjustable I can set it back when I am on the highway pegs and lean way back, or set it further forward for City riding. Probably one of the best additions I have made to my RG. It also removes in a flash so you can stow it in a locked saddlebag, in case someone gets the idea they want it more than you do. it also adjusts up and down with a spring loaded pull pin.
