Suspension Headaches For 15 FXDF
Did you go with 15w amsoil or screamin eagle fork oil?
I used 15wt Bel-ray oil. Didn't touch anything with the fork spacers either. Basically removed all the stock oil, springs, and spacers and replaced. Sag was slightly stiff but I left it alone. It settled in nice after some road time.
Still running on the stock rears. I go back and forth between 4 and 5 on the preload. 4 is slightly to soft, 5 is better but kinda harsh.
Some nice upgraded rears are for sure in the future, but I'm leaving the front alone.
Good Luck!

If I do the rear (still not sure) I will go with Works street tracker shocks. I don't see the need or advantage to dual reservoir shocks (piggyback) on a lighter weight solo street bike riding single up.
People have gotten super technical with the fluid level and cutting spacers and preload add ons with this mod but to tell you the truth i just put the ricors in there and changed the fluid. I didn't cut any spacers or anything and it worked out bad ***.
it is on the list for my new bike
if so, I think the setup I'll try is
Progressive Fork Spring Kit - Heavy Duty Rate with 15w oil, not sure on oil brand yet
and
Progressive 444's in standard duty for the rear, I just dont think I need heavy duty rate for the rear, unless anyone has any input on that.
that way, the rear end should be good to go, they're adjustable and will probably perform WAY better then the stock rear shocks. if the front leaves something to be desired; then I can add intiminators afterwards.

In my opinion, I think you should stay with standard rate springs up front. If you're sticking with standard rate rear shocks the heavy-duty front springs don't really make sense.
Personally, I would keep your fork stock but switch to the heavier 15wt oil. Go with the standard rate 444's out back and reassess. Your rear suspension is going to make the most difference. After that if you're looking for more I would drop the intiminators in your front fork and go to the recommended 10wt oil with stock springs. I at that point you still aren't satisfied, I would swap the stock fork springs for a straight rate spring from Traxxion Dynamics or Race Tech. After that your looking at cartridge kits.
