Default 2015 FXDB Front Turn Signal Relocation

Hi all, I need help regarding the wiring of the front turn signals.

Is there any way to disconnect these wires to relocate to the fork? I have tried searching, youtube, etc... and can't find an answer.

Also bonus! what is this plug for on the wiring harness?

Thanks,

-AL

no, you have to cut them and re-solder them then plug them into the blak and white plugs that are inside the frame. Cut those wires at the switch housing. Stagger your cuts, then seperate each wire, there are three. Heat shrink them and stuff them back into the switch housing. The idea is to isolate each wire to prevent shorting. Once that is done, get yourself the pins and connectors that fit the plugs that are inside the frame. you can get them from harley for a whopping 4 dollars. connect the wires to the pins, connect the pins to the connectors, run the wires into the frame and connect to the plugs, they look like this. easy peasy

I should say, cut the wires at the switch housing that go to the turn signal. The longer wires that run through the bars must stay connected, dont cut those, only the wires to the actual turn signal.

Rad! thanks for the detailed response. That's what I was thinking all along but I was hoping the engineers at HD would've made relocating your turn signals easier.

I will swing by my local dealer on my lunch break to get the $4 part.

who sis your local dealer? I went to fullerton harley to get mine, however I had to show them the pics I posted on here because they did not know that those plugs were in the frame...I also went to temecula harley and they didnt know what a canbus harley was....it was strange, I wish I still have the part number to make it easier for you...most of the parts guys have no idea what they are talking about.

Irvine is my local dealer. And haha yea I have noticed the parts guys don't have answers for a lot of questions I ask. I has to be a hard job though. If you have the part number throw it up to help others as well. I guess I will bring in the signal to the dealer on my lunch.

I did not do my own relocation, my indie did, he did not cut the wires but was able to disconnect them at some point to pull them out of the handlebars and insert them through my new ones. Sorry can't explain where, but I ran across a post at the time on the forum that was more specific.

Yeah, I saw a youtube video where someone was able to do that. I'm not so lucky.
