high probability of that being true (99%).

the thing is, the verbage and image on the jagg site and the hd site is exactly the same for the low mount, "Turbulator" talk and all.

i'm probably going to go with the jagg. i feel more comfortable with the jagg thermo/adapter. if i find an extreme deal on the hd kit (150 or lower) i will take it and scalp a jagg themo/adapter like i did for the sporty.

Yes, they do look similar. 2005 was the last year that Jagg sold anything to Harley.

Turbulator is a term that Marvin at Jagg came up with, but he never did trademark it, lots of companies use that term.

There are some pretty significant internal differences between the Jagg & the current HD oil coolers...one of them is the adapter. The Jagg sends the oil thru the filter first, when it is hottest and flows the easiest thru the element, then it goes thru the cooler. HD sends it thru the cooler, then after it is cooled down (& thicker) it sends it thru the oil filter element. doh

i don't like the looks of the hd adapter. looks like crap. the low profile is attractive , since it wouldn't change the filter position much, but it looks to be horribly built... like a nightmare waiting to happen... and how does it stay put when removing filters? looks like it would unseat when the filter was removed, leaks

i'm happy with the jagg 4700 on my sportster.

Don't go paying extra coin for a harley cooler that will not do any better than a jagg! I haven't read all the posts , but that's all I have to say here!

i think it looks better down low by the front mount but i would be worried about it takin a rock. I have takin some big rocks in the shin over the years, also i have had rocks chip the paint on the front of the gas tank and have cracked 2 headlights.

might work better on the side of the down tube too
i have thought about this mod as i live in south texas where it can stay over 100 for a month straight

But if you buy one to cool your engine in traffic jam, the cooler without fan is useless.

bought an older low mount but the SOB wouldn't fit with a crash bar. No biggie I could make my own mounting bracket, but then the SOB thermostat wouldn't fit with my Vance & hines big shots. ended up selling it on ebay where I found it. Don't really need it anyway I guess, I think I can count the really hot days where the bike got over 240 on 1 hand. Spent my money on one of those reusable racing oil filters instead, it's pretty cool, definitely felt the power boost from it where the oil cooler would have just created more resistance on the pump.

Really?

With a little patience and work, you can score a good deal on a NOS NIB MoCo oil cooler kit...

Paid $52 from eBay, shipped to my door.
